LEGACY is a ballroom event honouring the life and legacy of Kirvan Le Cap, a pioneer of African ballroom culture and founding mother of the House of Le Cap. Rooted in the global ballroom tradition, the night brings together performance, fashion, and community. Participants “walk” in a range of categories including Best Dressed, Vogue Performance, Lip Sync, Body, and Face — competing for recognition and prizes. The event is open to all, with a focus on celebrating queer and trans communities, femme-presenting people, and allies. Whether you're walking, watching, or joining the afterparty, the space is designed to be safe, expressive, and affirming. Produced by Edition Events, LEGACY continues to support and grow Cape Town’s ballroom community while honouring its history.
