Cape Town's celebrated ballroom gathering returns for a special collaboration with Johannesburg's iconic Same Sex Saturday (SSS), bringing together two cities, two communities and one shared vision of music, fashion and unapologetic self-expression. Created as a love letter to the late Kirvan Fortuin (Kirvan Le Cap), LEGACY continues to honour African ballroom culture while creating joyful and affirming spaces for trans-feminine, gender non-conforming and queer communities. This edition welcomes SSS and its renowned All Black aesthetic, creating a unique cultural exchange between Cape Town and Johannesburg. Inspired by the theme of Dandyism, the evening celebrates style as identity, confidence and creative resistance. Expect immaculate tailoring, monochrome glamour, dramatic textures and fearless self-styling, where fashion becomes a language and the ballroom becomes a stage for reinvention. Throughout the night, ballroom categories, voguing, performance and music will unfold alongside a carefully curated soundtrack connecting sounds from both cities. Whether you're walking a category, cheering from the sidelines or simply dancing into the early hours, everyone is welcome to be part of the experience. Born from Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ communities in New York, ballroom culture has evolved into a global celebration of resilience, performance, fashion and chosen family.
