The Mardi Gras marks the grand finale of the 2026 Pride Month calendar. This year’s celebration is set to be the largest Pride event the city has ever hosted, welcoming visitors from LGBTQIA+ communities around the world. Once again, Cape Town Pride unites as the rainbow heart of Africa, celebrating the extraordinary diversity of our city and its people. Festivalgoers can look forward to a vibrant Pride Village featuring LGBTQIA+ merchandise stalls, a variety of food vendors, bars and refreshment stations, a dedicated children’s area, and relaxed chill-out spaces. Come dressed in your most fabulous outfit, wave your flag proudly, be visible, be proud, and enjoy an unforgettable queer day. The event will also host an NGO Village and the most exciting and diverse entertainment lineup yet. This is a family-friendly event. Please note that pets, cooler boxes, tents, and shisha pipes are not permitted. The VIP area has been relocated to a marquee directly in front of the main stage and is limited to just 200 guests. VIP ticket holders will enjoy complimentary drinks and canapés throughout the day, access to private ablution facilities, and exclusive meet-and-greet moments with performers from the main stage. The clubhouse area will serve as the sponsors’ zone and media centre for this year’s event. VIP tickets are strictly limited and cannot be increased once sold out, so early booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. Important: Tickets are available online only.
