The Unofficial Pink Party returns to Botanik Social House for one of the final events in its 2026 farewell series. For more than two decades, The Unofficial Pink Party has been a fixture in Cape Town’s LGBTQI+ nightlife, bringing together the community and allies in a space built around inclusion, connection, and good music. What began as a response to the need for safer and more welcoming queer spaces has grown into a well-known event with a loyal following. Organised by long-time community members Janine and Kelly, the party has hosted more than 70 events over the years, featuring a wide range of DJs, performers, and venues across the city. The event has also been recognised internationally, including a recommendation in Lonely Planet’s Top Choices for Cape Town nightlife. 2026 marks the final year of The Unofficial Pink Party. This July event is one of the last three parties before the series concludes later in the year. Expect a welcoming dancefloor, DJs, and a mixed crowd from across Cape Town’s LGBTQI+ community and beyond. Everyone is welcome — the LGBTQI+ community and the people who love and support it.
