These stories form part of SQUASH, a lovingly satirical and emotionally layered exploration of the experiences of gay men who grew up listening to Steve Hofmeyr. Translated from the award-winning Afrikaans comedy My Hart is ’n Muurbal, the production combines humour, discomfort, tenderness, and social commentary through a distinctly South African queer lens. Written and directed by Wessel Pretorius, whose acclaimed works have travelled to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Amsterdam, Vienna, and the National Arts Festival.
