Gat Party is a vibrant, inclusive and welcoming monthly dance event held at Bothasig Community Hall in Cape Town, South Africa . We bring people together through the joy of music, dancing, laughter and friendship in a fun, safe and relaxed atmosphere.

Whether you're part of the LGBTQIA+ community or a straight ally, everyone is welcome! Our motto is simple: Be YOU – Come As You Are or Dress Up!

Enjoy a fantastic mix of music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and today's biggest hits , including traditional Afrikaans Langarm, Sokkie, Waltz, Two-Step, Line Dancing, Disco, Pop and Freestyle favourites. Our fabulous resident DJ and drag queen hostess, DJ Bust Mati , keeps the dance floor alive with great music, entertainment and plenty of personality!

You don't have to be an experienced dancer to join the fun. Whether you love dancing the night away or simply enjoy watching others dance while soaking up the atmosphere, Gat Party is the perfect place to socialise, make new friends and feel part of a welcoming community.
