About Infogaytion

About Infogaytion

Infogaytion is an LGBTQ+ travel and local discovery platform helping people find relevant places, events, guides, services, experiences and support across the destinations it covers.

It exists to make trusted information easier to find — from welcoming venues and Pride events to travel guides, tours, professional services, community organisations and support resources.

Infogaytion began in Cape Town, South Africa, and is expanding through destination and city guides while keeping local information clearly scoped to the place being explored.

Infogaytion is not a social network. It is a structured discovery platform designed for clarity, accessibility and reliability.

Why I Created Infogaytion

I'm Rob, the founder of Infogaytion.

I created Infogaytion because I believe LGBTQ+ life should be easier to find.

So much of what happens in our communities is spread across social media, individual websites, ticketing platforms and word of mouth. If you don't already know where to look, it can be surprisingly difficult to discover what's happening around you, where to go, or what support and services are available.

For one person, that might simply mean finding something to do this weekend. For someone else, it could mean discovering their first LGBTQ+ event, finding a welcoming space, connecting with a community organisation, or finding information they didn't know was available to them.

I wanted to create one place where people could start looking.

Infogaytion is being built for both locals and visitors, and I want it to reflect the LGBTQ+ communities and destinations it covers — not just my own assumptions about what people need.

That's why feedback and contributions matter. If there's something missing, a guide you think would be useful, an event or organisation people should know about, or an idea that could make Infogaytion more useful, please get in touch.

What You’ll Find

Infogaytio includes:

Listings may be created by Infogaytion administrators or submitted through public and account-based submission tools. All listings are reviewed before publication.

Infogaytion does not operate as a public review platform.

Events & Event Organisers

Event organisers can submit events to Infogaytion for inclusion in the platform's event listings.

To add an event, visit Submit a Listing and follow the submission process. Events are reviewed before publication.

Organisers can also create a free Event Organiser Profile. Events submitted while logged in can be connected to the organiser's profile, giving people another way to discover both the organiser and the events they create.

For free events requiring registrations, organisers can choose Infogaytion Free RSVP during event submission and follow the instructions provided.

A particular thank you goes to the organisers who have already submitted events to Infogaytion — and especially those who continue to return and add new ones. Those contributions help make the platform more useful for everyone.

Help Shape Infogaytion

Infogaytion is still being developed, and the people who use it can help shape what it becomes.

If there's a guide you'd like to see, information you think is missing, something that could work better, or an idea for something useful that Infogaytion doesn't currently provide, I'd like to hear it.

Suggestions, feedback and ideas can be sent to hello@infogaytion.com.

You can also help by following Infogaytion on social media and engaging with or sharing the events, guides and information you find useful. That helps more people discover Infogaytion — and increases the visibility of the events, organisations, businesses and community resources featured on the platform.

Services & Business Listings

Infogaytion includes a curated Services section designed to help users discover LGBTQ+ owned and affirming businesses across different industries and professions.

Examples may include:

Service listings are reviewed before publication to help maintain accuracy, relevance and platform quality.

How Listings Work

Infogaytion may use structured drafting tools to assist with formatting and content preparation. All listings require human review and approval before publication.

Inclusivity

Infogaytion uses LGBTQ+ as an inclusive umbrella term representing the wider community.

The platform aims to support visibility, discovery and access to information across diverse identities, communities and experiences.

Support & Resources Disclaimer

Infogaytion provides links to third-party support organisations for informational purposes only.

Infogaytion does not provide medical, legal, mental health or crisis support directly.
